MY ROLE:

Concepting, scriptwriting, partnering with the video team to marry visuals and voiceover

CHANNELS:

Regional television

Background:

As the work was pro bono, we were given free reign to pitch whatever we wanted. The writers got together with the video team and we each came up with a concept to pitch. Mine won out. I wrote scenes focused on everyday moments of tension in a child's life, and crafted a narrative around them based on a universal truth: every parent wants to their child to succeed.

With budget top-of-mind, the video team and I decided the most cost-effective option would be using stock footage and voiceover.

In the end, our leadership was proud to produce the spot and the client loved it:

“It’s fabulous! I love it so much! I wish you could see me jumping up and down!"

The video

The :30 ad that aired on the local NBC affiliate during primetime.

The script

With an anthemic voiceover, it was important to work closely with the video team to match the right imagery to the story.
